All the present Kashmiri Pandit Dhars are the children of Shri Meeru Pandit Dhar who was the chief commander of Sikander's Army between 1389 and 1413 AD. He had two sons named Aman Pandit Dhar and Naman Pandit Dhar.
Naman Pandit Dhar had one son named Kanthah Dhar and he inturn had three sons named Madhav Pandit Dhar, Rajah Pandit Dhar & Mahesh Pandit Dhar.
Madhav Pandit Dhar had four sons and one daughter. His daughter was Roopabhawani Sahiba.
The details of each sub family tree are given in the below pages. This is compiled from a book written by Shri Shyam Lal Dhar & Shri Satish Dhar in 2000 and published by Shri Alakh Sahiba Trust, Jammu, India.
